Quercus Humilis o Quecus Pubescens, More commonly known as downy oak or pubescent oak, this member of the Fagaceae is a densly growing tree of medium size, growing aprox. 25m tall. This deciduous species is native to central and southern Europe and Turkey. It frequently dwells on limy soil, sometimes rocky and of minor depth. Resisting drought and heat and requiring little humidity and fertility of its subsoil.
