Betula Utilis, Commonly known as Himalayan birch, this member of the Betulaceae is native to the Himalaya, Nepal, India and China. This marvelous type of birch offers a precious appearance throughout the year. It may be planted either alone or in groups together with other birches. Reaching up to 20m in height and 10m in width, this deciduous species prefers semi-shadowy or sunny settings. Resistant to temperatures as low as -20C°, it is best adapted to fresh, light grounds.
