Citrus deliciosa, citrus unshiu, citrus reticulata , Known as tangerine or mandarine, this member of the rutaceas has its origins in China and southeast Asia. Growing as bushes or small trees with 2 – m of height, it is a plant with a remarkable ornamental effect, wether in an isolated position or potted decorating gardens and patios. Compared to the orange tree it resists better in the face of cold and drought, even though both are species which require a constant supply of water to optimise its fruit.
